The registration fee for the CIA Challenge Exam is $845 USD for IIA members and $1,245 USD for non-members, and is non-refundable and non-transferable for the first attempt. If a candidate does not pass on the first attempt, the retake exam fee is the same full registration amount — $845 USD for members and $1,245 USD for non-members — as there are no reduced retake rates or provisions for program or exam extensions for the Challenge Exam. In addition, all candidates are required to pay a one-time application fee of $150 USD (members) or $380 USD (non-members) prior to registering for the exam.
